DE2431F - Slim Line Series, White Colour, Freestanding Dishwasher from Beko
Beko is one of the fastest growing brands in UK in the areas of cooking, laundry and dishwashers. Beko manufactures excellent dishwashers that does its main program efficiently and the ones that are both water and energy efficient. The following is a review on Beko’s DE2431F dishwasher.
Slim and sleek:
Being a slim line model of Beko, DE2431F is sleek and stylish. Having a slim form factor, it has its dimensions as just (H X W X D) 85 x 45 x 59.8 cm giving you a comfortable option of portability. DE2431F Dishwasher model comes in white colour. The part of the dishwasher include a removable worktop, upper basket, an upper arm spray, an upper basket track latch, salt cap, a heating element that is concealed behind the liner, a lower basket, lower spray arm, cutlery basket, filters, detergent and rinse aid dispenser, programme selection and starting guide and finally, a removable kick plate. It has got 10 place settings which is more than adequate for placing the cups, plates, glasses, bowls, pans, pots etc without any issues even for a big family.
A basic control panel:
The main control panel of the Beko DE2431F White Colour Dishwasher has a wheel like programme knob which has four selections with an on/off indicator light, a start/stop button, rinse aid level indicator light, salt level indicator light, progress indicator lights and a main switch. The door handle in the DE2431F dishwasher gives a great deal of grip to the washer. Beko DE2431 Dishwasher’s racking system features an adjustable top rack and also a detachable cutlery basket to facilitate extra loading or loading of heavy utensils. The anti flooding feature of Beko DE2431 keeps a close check on the internal system and prevents it from being prone to leaks and flooding.
Installation of DE2431F:
The installation of Beko’s DE2431F dishwasher can be done easily with the help of its manual which provides clear instructions with pictorial representations wherever required. Once the dishwasher is earthed, the plugs must be fitted, connect the water inlet hose and then the drain hose.
Washing programmes:
The DE2431F has four wash programmes that includes normal wash, economy wash, pre-rinse and intense wash. While the economy wash cycle spends minimum amount of water and energy, the intense wash program makes use of the highest temperature setting among the three temperature settings that are available. For a slim line model, the DE2431F takes quite a long time to complete a normal wash. It takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish a normal cycle. The rapid wash program is very quick and takes just 31 minutes to complete, saving a lot of time and energy. Unfortunately, this programme results in poor wash for both washing and drying. An extra drying option is available, but that does not make any difference to the poor drying results.
Filters:
DE2431F Compact Dishwasher from Beko has the three filters, main filter, coarse filter and micro filter. The program knob has to be positioned based on the water hardness level. In case the hardness level of water is more than 80dF, filters and purifiers have to be used.
Washing and drying:
The washing and drying performances of Beko slimline DE2431F are average and hence have managed to get a ‘B’ grade. Water consumption of this slim line dishwasher has been limited to 13 litres for the completion of a single eco-friendly wash schedule. The dishwasher is very noisy though.
Energy efficiency:
Beko DE2431F Freestanding Dishwasher has managed to bag an energy efficiency rating, cleaning rating and drying rating of ABB. It uses just 1.01kWh of energy to complete a full washing program. It has managed to attain this figure with the help of its energy saving feature.
Warranty:
Beko slim line DE2431F comes with one year manufacturer’s warranty.
Verdict:
Beko slim line DE2431F dishwasher’s washing and drying performance in the normal mode is satisfactory. The adjustable baskets and filters offered are also on the side of DE2431F. But its poor results with the intense wash and noisiness of the unit are on its side of downfall. Delay timer feature is also absent. There are other portable dishwashers in the market that have a better performance and many additional features too.
